NEW DELHI: The Nationwide Investigation Company on Saturday arrested 9 Al-Qaida terrorists from a number of places throughout West Bengal and Kerala after conducting raids within the two states. NIA had learnt about an inter-state module of the Al-Qaida operatives at varied places in India together with the 2 states.
The group of arrested males was planning assaults at very important installations in India with an purpose to kill harmless folks and strike terror of their minds.
As per preliminary investigation, these people have been radicalised by Pakistan-based Al-Qaeda terror outfit on social media and have been motivated to undertake assaults at a number of locations together with Delhi NCR.
NIA says module was actively indulging in fundraising and some members of gang have been planning to journey to New Delhi to obtain arms and ammunition. These arrests have pre-empted attainable terrorist assaults in varied components of the nation.
The arrested males have been recognized as Murshid Hasan, Iyakub Biswas, Mosaraf Hossen—residents of Ernakulam, Kerala; Najmus Sakib, Abu Sufiyan, Mainul Mondal, Leu Yean Ahmed, Al Mamun Kamal and Atitur Rehman—residents of Murshidabad, West Bengal.
