A 21-year-old local weather activist from Bengaluru has been arrested within the Greta Thunberg “Toolkit case”” by the Delhi Police. Disha Ravi is among the founders of the “Friday for Future” marketing campaign. It has been alleged that Disha Ravi edited the toolkit and despatched it forward.
On February 4, the Delhi Police filed a case concerning toolkit. Teen local weather activist Greta Thunberg had tweeted a toolkit earlier this month to indicate help for the farmers’ protest towards the Centre’s farm legal guidelines that has been in progress on the borders of Delhi since November 26.
Coming after the chaos and violence through the farmers’ tractor rally on Republic Day, her tweet had helped draw international consideration to the protest.
The Delhi Police stated the toolkit was discovered on a social media deal with that predates the violence and signifies a conspiracy behind the occasions of January 26.
“The decision was to wage financial, social, cultural and regional conflict towards India,” Delhi Police Particular Commissioner Praveer Ranjan had stated.
“We have now registered a case for spreading disaffection towards the federal government of India – it is concerning sedition – and disharmony between teams on spiritual, social and cultural grounds, and felony conspiracy to offer form to such a plan,” the officer had stated.
