VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh HC on Tuesday stated it should represent a particular investigation group if the CBI doesn’t present any progress in apprehending ‘Punch Prabhakar’, who has been posting abusive, contemptuous and derogatory movies towards the judiciary, stories Srikanth Aluri.
The HC bench headed by Chief Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and justice Lalitha Kanneganti granted 10 days’ time to the CBI to show its bonafides within the case, failing which they are going to both refer the matter to the SC or represent a SIT unbiased of the CBI.
Expressing displeasure over social media intermediaries for not taking motion on time, the bench requested them if it’s not their duty to take away abusive content material instantly after investigating businesses registered a criminal offense. The remark got here after N Ashwani Kumar, standing counsel for HC’s registrar normal, stated social media intermediaries eliminated abusive content material posted by Prabhakar solely after the registrar normal’s letter.
