NEW DELHI: The federal government has reinstated its earlier tips by withdrawing a journey advisory issued on October 1 that made it obligatory for British nationals arriving in India to endure a compulsory 10-day quarantine even when they’re absolutely vaccinated.
India had come out with the advisory as UK, even after recognising Covishield vaccine produced by the Serum Institute of India, retained the 10-day quarantine interval for absolutely vaccinated travellers from India.
The advisory has been withdrawn after the British authorities ordered discontinuation of obligatory testing and quarantine norms for these vaccinated with Covishield and travelling from India.
The well being ministry stated, “Primarily based on the evolving situation, it has been determined that the revised tips stand withdrawn and the sooner tips on international arrival issued on February 17 shall be relevant to all travellers arriving in India from the UK.”
