PARIS: Former France defender Jean-Pierre Adams has died on the age of 73, nearly 40 years after falling right into a coma following a medical error, his former golf equipment, Paris St Germain and Nimes, stated on Monday.
In 1982, Adams was administered a near-fatal dose of anaesthetic forward of a routine knee operation, which brought about mind injury.
The Dakar-born Adams had received 22 caps for Les Bleus within the Seventies, forming with Marius Tresor what was often known as ‘the Black Guard’.
He performed for Nimes from 1970-73 and for PSG from 1977-79 after becoming a member of from Nice.
For the reason that accident, Adams has been cared for by his spouse, Bernadette.
